Cupid Gives Back

At Cupid Intimates, we value the communities that host our facilities and serve as hometowns for many of our employees. We believe we have the responsibility to do what we can to be a good corporate citizen and give back to the local areas that have supported our operations over many years.

Here are some examples of our efforts, by location:

Blackwell, Oklahoma—Headquarters and Distribution Center


  • In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we donated our own pandemic-planning supplies (240 N95 respirators and 160 medical gowns) to Alliance Health Ponca City (nearby Ponca City, Oklahoma’s hospital) for use by its staff when treating patients with COVID-19 and other ailments (2020)
  • Donated $10,000 to the Cancer Research Institute to encourage further research and development of cancer immunotherapy (2017)
  • Donated fabric to the Oklahoma Home and Community Education, Inc. to be used in sewing projects. The fabric was used to make handkerchief dolls for children receiving immunizations as well as headscarves for cancer patients. (2013)
  • Donated money to the Braman, Oklahoma Volunteer Fire Department to help it purchase at 1,250-gallon water tank for use on its Grass Fire Truck (2012)
  • Donated funds to help the non-profit Hospice of North Central Oklahoma to renovate its building (2012-2014)
  • Donated paper and school supplies to the teachers of Blackwell’s public schools (2011)
  • Donated 100,000 yards of fabric to the Oklahoma Family and Consumer Sciences Program (2009)
  • Spearheaded a community effort to raise money for software that allows teachers and parents to communicate about student academic progress and attendance (2006)
  • Donated money to the American Red Cross for recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina (2005)
  • Donated money for the creation of a community softball complex for the city of Blackwell (2004-2009)
  • Host and facilitate blood drives at our facility four times per year (2004-present)
  • Annually award two college scholarships to Blackwell High School seniors (2003-present)
  • Donated money and worked alongside the community to refurbish and re-open Blackwell’s community pool (2003)
  • Annually donate money, company facilities, time, and resources to the Blackwell-Tonkawa Relay for Life, an annual fundraiser for cancer research (1998-present)
    • Additionally, we donate a panty to every participant at the Relay for a themed “Southwest Cupid Panty Lap”
    • For the 2010-2011 fundraising year, the American Cancer Society recognized our Southwest Cupid Relay for Life team for having placed 15th (of 1,600 teams) in the state of Oklahoma for the amount of money raised. Given the small size of our surrounding communities, we’re very proud of this achievement.
    • For the 2011-2012 fundraising year, our Southwest Cupid Relay for Life team raised more money than it ever had raised in any previous year
  • Donated paint, supplies, and additional funds to the Blackwell Youth Center for renovations
  • Make annual donations to the Blackwell School Foundation’s “Bell Ringer” endowment which helps fund general school expenses and “Outstanding Teacher” grants (1989-present)
  • Donated money and spearheaded community efforts to keep Blackwell’s hospital operational (1980s)

  • Donated scrubs to the local health center and hospital in Masaya (2022)
  • Replaced and improved health and environment facilities at the Andres Castro School in Nindiri, Nicaragua (2022)
    • Replaced and improved handwashing areas with a foot-activated sink
    • Donated barrels for water collection and garbage disposal
    • Donated alcohol hand sanitizer dispenser and trained students on how to use the dispenser
    • Donated masks for students and teachers’ use
  • Offered the local community a presentation on maintaining healthy finances (2022)
  • Provided COVID-19 prevention training to the students of the Andres Castro School in Nindiri (2022)
  • Donated food baskets and general supplies to a local nursing home (2019)
  • Donated a net for a soccer field at a local park in Nindiri (2013)
  • Donated paint to the Health Center of Masaya (2013)
  • Addressed the needs of the Andres Castro School and its 247 students in Nindiri (2012-2013)
    • Renovated the kitchen, restrooms, and dining area and added a storage room for the kitchen
    • Replaced old chalkboards with new whiteboards
    • Provided a scholarship for the school’s best student
    • Donated books to the school library and furniture to the school’s classrooms and offices
    • Facilitated teacher training for emergency preparedness and donated a first aid kit
  • Partnered with the mayor of Masaya, teachers, and parents of students to help address the needs of the Brothers of Japan School (2008-2010)
    • Cleaned and painted the interior and exterior walls
    • Replaced chalkboards and installed whiteboards
    • Installed landscaping and painted playground equipment
    • Installed a soccer field and water fountain
    • Coordinated book donations to stock the school’s library
  • Cleaned and painted the exterior walls of “El Portillio,” a school in Nindiri (2010)

  • Annually hold a fundraiser for October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month in memory of our fomer sample-marker Carolyn Hribal, who passed away from breast cancer.
    • In 2021, we contributed $700 to cancer research through the entire Design Team contributing a gift basket to auction off.
  • Donated employee time to mentor college students in Pennsylvania
  • Annually hold a holiday raffle with the proceeds being donated to various charities chosen by our employees (past charities have included Susan G. Komen Foundation, Forgotten Felines, and the USO)
  • Matched our employee’s financial contributions that were made to the Northampton County SPCA (currently The Center for Animal Health and Welfare) with the money being used to buy food and supplies for animals (2007-2008)
  • Donated bras to the Susan G. Komen foundation
  • Donated money and provided facilities so that employees could participate in a “Christmas in July” initiate overseen by Operation Shoebox, an organization which sends care packages and letters to American troops deployed overseas
      Sewed Christmas stockings and filled them with snacks, toiletries, magazines, and other small comforts of home and sent to troops serving our country in Afghanistan (2012)
